⭐️ From Microsoft to Something Much More Rewarding
I'm only sending this note to a select few of you; the ones who've been reading my emails the longest and supporting me through the years. As always: thank you. I am so grateful for each of you.
As you know, I've been trying to figure out what's next for me after my time at Microsoft, and I have an idea. After talking with friends, my therapist, and my career coach, I think I want to try an experiment aimed at programmers dealing with Imposter Syndrome.
What if, in the next 6 weeks, I could help you strip away Imposter Syndrome and step confidently into the senior/lead/public role you deserve, without a CS degree, without second-guessing your skills, and without fearing AI will replace you? I would personally guide you through mastering the career dynamics, technical gaps, and mindset shifts you need, so you stop sabotaging yourself and finally get the recognition (and paycheck) you’ve earned.

Why I'm Trying This
I have a career coach (great investment, by the way) who has been urging me to create a small group program (5 to 20 people) that directly addresses Imposter Syndrome. I would work directly with each person in both one-on-one and group meetings.
We would meet multiple times per week, and address topics ranging from personal growth to computer science to audio/video production to writing to speaking at conferences. Basically any topic I have experience with, all with the goal of getting you from where you are to where you want to be.
The idea sounds interesting to me, but then my Imposter Syndrome kicks in and I wonder if anyone would even care!
That was my coach's challenge: get out of your comfort zone, challenge yourself, and offer this program.
So that's what I'm doing and you can read about it here. I think the offer is a good one, but I'm purposely keeping it very, very small so I can work the details with whomever takes me up on it.
At This Point, It's About Other People
I've had a lot of success in my career and I'm extremely grateful for it, and now it's time to turn that focus outward. I want to do this full time, shifting my career away from giant tech companies and clown show startups back to the people that matter the most: people like you.
